Wegner & Wegner & Ward was founded by retired Workers' Compensation Judge John C. Wegner, Sr. and Robert J. Wegner, Jr. and provides workers' compensaton services exclusively in New Jersey.

John C. Wegner, Sr., a lifelong resident of Paterson, began his legal career as a Workers' Compensation Deputy Director for State Department of Labor and Industry upon passing the Bar Exam.  Appointed by John J. Toohey, Labor Commissioner, Mr. Wegner was instrumental in deciding many of the cases whichhave been established legal precedents in New Jersey Worker's Compensation Law.

John was a member of the Passaic County Bar Associates and its President in 1941 and 1942.  He was also  a member of the New Jersey Bar and American Bar Associates.  John also served as a district deputy and past grand knight of the Paterson Counsel 240, Knights of Columbus.

John C. Wegner, Sr., retired from the Department of Labor and Industry as a Judge of Compensation after 32 years of service and continued his private practice until 1967, when he passed away.

Following his grandfather's footsteps, Robert J. Wegner, Jr. began practicing workers' compensation law in 1967 and practice for over 51 year until he passed away in 2018.  He was considered by many as one of the leading workers' compensation attorneys in the state.

Robert was a former board member of the 200 Club, a founding member of the Justice James H. Coleman, Jr., Inn of Court, and an Honored Citizen with the NJ Police Honor Legion.

Peter F. Ward joined the firm in 2005 and has devoted his practice to worker's compensation.  He is an executive committee member of the New Jersey State Bar Association Workers' Compensaton Section and the Secretary for the Justice James H. Coleman Inn of Court.
